A website is not a leaflet. It is software on a server, scanned by automated bots every day of the year, and left alone it decays. Our care plans handle the unglamorous work that keeps your site online, secure and fast. From £25 a month, no minimum term.

What is covered

What actually happens to a site nobody looks after

  • The SSL certificate lapses

    Visitors get a full-screen browser warning that your site is not secure, and most of them leave. We renew it for you, every time.

  • The software falls behind

    Once a vulnerability is published, bots hunt for sites that have not patched it. We apply security and software updates promptly.

  • The site gets hacked

    Usually to serve spam to your visitors, after which Google may flag your site. Security monitoring catches problems early.

  • It goes offline and nobody notices

    Without monitoring a site can be down for days, and every one of those days is enquiries you never knew you missed.

  • There is no backup

    This is the expensive one. Regular backups mean a bad day is an inconvenience rather than a rebuild from scratch.

  • Small changes pile up

    On the Care & Maintenance plan, 30 minutes of changes a month covers prices, opening hours, photos and text without a separate invoice.

Frequently asked questions

Do I own my website?

Yes. Ownership of the finished website transfers to you once final payment has been received. That covers the design, the pages and your content. If you ever move to another provider you can have a copy of your site files at no charge, and your domain is always yours to take. If you would like us to prepare and carry out the move for you, there is a one-off £100 admin fee.

Who owns my domain name?

Your domain is registered in your name and belongs to you. If we register it as part of your build, we will transfer control to you on request at any time. We do not hold domains hostage.

Do you provide hosting?

Yes. Both care plans include hosting, your SSL certificate and regular backups, starting with Care & Hosting at £25 a month, and your domain renewal is included once you have completed 12 months on a plan. If you would rather host elsewhere you can, though you will then be responsible for backups, SSL renewal, domain renewal and server updates yourself.

Do I need a care plan?

It is optional, and we recommend one. Hosting, backups, SSL renewal and security updates have to be done by somebody, and sites where the answer is nobody tend to break or get compromised eventually. Care & Hosting is £25 a month, and Care & Maintenance at £50 adds 30 minutes of website changes each month.

What does the 30 minutes of monthly changes cover?

Small edits: updating prices, changing opening hours or contact details, swapping photos, editing text, adding a staff member or fixing a broken link. It does not cover new pages, redesigns or new functionality, which are quoted separately. If a request will not fit in the time, we tell you the price before we start.

Can I cancel a monthly plan?

Yes. There is no minimum term on any of our monthly plans, so you are never locked into a fixed contract. We ask for 30 days' notice before your next billing date, and cancelling then stops the payments. If hosting was part of your plan you will need somewhere else for the site to live. You can have a copy of your site files at no charge for 30 days after cancelling, or we can prepare and carry out the move for a one-off £100 admin fee. If you cancel before completing 12 months on a plan, your domain renewal is not included.
